Bathroom, balcony, basement and terrace floors are the surfaces where water stands the longest. Water that gets through the floor seeps down to the level below and damages the screed and the slab; by the time it is noticed, the floor covering often has to be taken up.
With Izowhite, floor waterproofing is chosen to suit the need: elastic Water Cutter applied directly on concrete and screed, and fully elastic Two-Component and Powercon under tiles. For repairing concrete floors open to traffic, Groud Mortar, which gains strength rapidly, is used.

Application
Floor waterproofing step by step
- Dirty, dusty and blistered surfaces are scraped clean.
- Cracks are repaired with Izowhite Powercon.
- Chamfers at wall-to-floor junctions and the areas around drains are repaired and bridged with geotextile felt.
- The surface is primed with Izowhite Wizalator primer.
- Mesh is applied according to the substrate conditions.
- Izowhite Water Cutter is applied in 2 coats, allowing each coat to cure as specified.
- In areas to be tiled, Izowhite Two-Component is applied under the tiles.

Can Water Cutter be applied on screed and concrete?
Yes. It is applied after the surface has been cleaned and primed with Izowhite Wizalator primer. Water Cutter can be used on concrete, screed, OSB and wood surfaces.
Which product should be used under tiles?
Under tiles, Izowhite Two-Component or Powercon is used; both form a waterproof layer under tiles in wet areas.
When can a repaired concrete floor be opened to traffic?
Izowhite Groud Mortar gains strength very quickly; a repaired concrete floor can be opened to traffic after 1 hour.
